YouFlex Core Coverage is available for eligible full-time and part-time employees. As a Sobeys employee, you’ll have access to a number of options, including Health and Dental Care, Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP), Basic Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance, Basic Life Insurance and Basic Critical Illness Insurance. Short-Term and Long-Term Disability coverage is also available for full-time employees. YouFlex Core Coverage also includes Health and Dental and EFAP benefits for your dependants.
You’ll be able to upgrade what’s included in your YouFlex Core coverage if you like and choose the benefits package that best suits your needs.
Full-time and part-time employees enrolled in the plan receive Flex Dollars to spend on upgrading their coverage options or to pay for eligible expenses not covered under the plan.

The Sobeys & Empire Work Experience & Scholarship Program awards a number of scholarships to employees so they can pursue their educational goals.
